Customizing Your Receptionist

Pick a voice and teach it your hours, services, and pricing.

Out of the box, your AI receptionist doesn't know anything about your business. These are the two things worth setting up first so it actually sounds like you.

Choosing a voice

Browse voices at /voices and tap any card to hear a sample. Voices vary by gender, age, and provider, so pick whichever fits how you want callers to hear your business. You can change it anytime from Settings, and the switch takes effect on the next call.

Teaching it your business

In Settings, you can fill in:

  • Hours: when you're open, so it doesn't offer appointments outside them.
  • Services: what you actually do, so it doesn't say yes to work you don't take on.
  • Pricing: general pricing info it can share when asked.
  • FAQs: common questions and answers specific to your business.
  • Greeting message: the exact line it opens every call with.
  • Custom instructions: anything else it should know or do differently.

The more of this you fill in, the fewer calls it has to hand off with "let me have someone follow up," and the more it sounds like it actually works for you instead of reading a generic script.

Trade-specific settings

If you're in a trade like HVAC, plumbing, or electrical, Settings also has toggles for things like arrival windows, diagnostic fees, emergency service, and site-access or property-ownership questions, so the receptionist asks the right qualifying questions for your industry without you writing any of that by hand.
